Giving
Across the University, there are many programmes which are deserving of alumni support – and UQ makes it easy for alumni to target their gifts to their preferred programmes. More information about how to support programmes across the University can be found on the UQ website here.
Within the Law School, however, there are three particular programmes which benefit significantly from alumni support:
the UQ Law Alumni Scholarship Fund – which supports needs-based scholarships for domestic undergraduate students.
the Pro Bono Centre – a centre which has been based in the Law School since 2019, which provides support to legal practitioners in the community legal sector by using a large number of student volunteers to undertake legal research and prepare submissions for law reform.
the Mooting Programme – which encourages students to obtain real experience in legal research and advocacy, by participating in a range of mooting competitions hosted locally, nationally and internationally.
Donations to any of these three programmes may be made on the Law School’s webpage here.
All donations would be very gratefully received.
